Join me for a scenic hike along one of Maryland's most popular sections of the Appalachian Trail as we visit both Annapolis Rock and Black Rock. This moderate trek climbs steadily through hardwood forest before rewarding hikers with spectacular cliffside overlooks of the Cumberland Valley, Greenbrier Lake, and the surrounding mountains.

Annapolis Rock offers a dramatic rocky outcrop and sweeping views, while Black Rock, about a mile farther along the trail, provides equally impressive panoramas with fewer crowds. Expect rocky terrain, steady elevation gain, and plenty of opportunities to stop for photos and enjoy the views. This hike is ideal for those looking for a rewarding day on the trail with some of the best vistas in Maryland.

As with all WWO hikes, there will be a leader and a sweep, and no one will be left behind.
