5 miles, suitable for all levels.  We'll be exploring some of the most scenic and inviting trails Riverbend has to offer.

Bluebells, with their delicate, nodding blooms, add a touch of enchantment to the trail. 

The Potomac Heritage Trail will be the backbone of our hike. It’s mostly flat, shaded, and full of beautiful vantage points where the Potomac widens and narrows-it can also be muddy. Expect quiet coves, sycamore groves, and plenty of Bluebells and other wildflowers in full display and splendor.

Next, we’ll say goodbye to the river (for now) and make our way into this wooded loop for a change of pace. The trail winds through hollows and meadows, offering a more intimate forest experience. There is a steep descent as we make our way down to the river and back on the Potomac Heritage Trail.

As with all WWO hikes, there will be a leader and a sweep, and no one will be left behind.
