35 miles, 1375" elevation mostly on a paved multi-used trail with a few miles on country roads. For advanced beginners and above.
This ride is rescheduled from January 11. If you are already registered, you do not need to register again but please let us know if you will not be joining us on Feb. 22.
We’ll bicycle on the well-maintained Washington and Old Dominion (W&OD) rail trail. As we head west on a gradual uphill from Ashburn, the scenery changes from suburban neighborhoods to countryside farmlands with horses and cows. We will turn around in Purcellville after a rest stop at Sweet Rose Bakeshop and head back on the trail with a small detour off the trail for a short climb and ending where we started at the Carolina Brothers Pit Barbeque to enjoy some famous barbecue. The ride is suitable for all types of bicycles. This is a no- drop ride, with a leader and a sweep and no one will be left behind.
After completing your registration, you will receive a confirmation email with additional event details and start location. If you don't see it, check your junk mail folder.
There is limited space, so please register early. Although this ride is FREE for Premium Members, you do need to register.
