Log-In
33 miles, 1800 feet elevation. Mostly rolling hills with a few challenging climbs. For Intermediate and Advanced Riders.
This ride takes us through the scenic countryside around Warrenton, VA by working farms, creeks, wineries and historic civil war sites. We’ll also ride on the Warrenton Branch Greenway and by Airlie House, a conference center with a rich history once characterized as an “Island of Thought” in 1960. The ride ends after passing through Vint Hill Farms Station–formerly an Army intelligence (spy!) station during and after WWII–but now the site of numerous private businesses including a craft winery, a brewery, a café, and the Cold War Museum. We’ll plan on having lunch in Vint Hill after the ride. This ride is on mostly rolling hills, with a couple of challenging climbs. (Formerly called the Lake Brittle ride.) As with all WWO rides, there will be a leader and a sweep, and no one will be left behind.
After you complete your registration, you will receive a confirmation email with additional event details and start location.
There is limited space, so please register early. Although this ride is FREE for Premium Members, you do need to register.
