Nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Sky Meadows offers the perfect backdrop for celebrating the stunning colors of the season.

Experience the magic of autumn at Sky Meadows State Park with beautiful vistas across meadows and woodlands with great views of farms and vineyards on the rolling Piedmont plains.

We will utilize several trails, including the Appalachian Trail, to loop together 5 miles with an elevation gain of 1,000 feet. We will traverse forests, meadows, and ridgelines as we make our way to overlooks that offer expansive views of the changing leaves.

Afterwards, we can check out the parks annual Fall Foliage Festival-no extra fee required. The festival features family-fun activities, community partners, live music, and delicious fall treats (yum!)  

As with all WWO hikes, there will be a leader and a sweep, and no one will be left behind.
