This hike is named for the geology walk in Prince William Forest Park.  Along the trail are markers discussing the geologic history of the area from 57 million years ago through the Jurassic period to the present.  Even if you have no interest in geology, this is a very pleasant walk beside the river. We’ll have lunch at the site of the old Pyrite Mine.  We will hike about 7 miles.
