31 miles, 1400 feet elevation. Rolling hills and some short, breathtaking climbs. Suitable for intermediate and advanced riders.

We’ll depart on a beautiful ride where we will see working farms, country homes, and grazing horses. We’ll take a break at the mid-point of our ride at the waterside town of Galesville and watch the sailboats in this quaint Chesapeake Bay port. This ride includes four miles on a busy highway but there is a wide shoulder. As with all our rides, we will have a leader and sweep and no one will be dropped.

After the ride, everyone is invited to drive back to Galesville for a leisurely lunch at a seafood restaurant and from there, for those who are interested, to drive to the Bike and Lights event in Watkins Regional Park on the only evening when the Holiday Festival of Lights is closed to traffic. Tickets for the Bike and Lights must be purchased directly through the Prince Goerge’s County Dept. of Parks and Recreation.
