26 miles on the paved W & OD rail-trail, with 900 feet elevation for advanced beginners and above.

Join us for a scenic 26 mile ride in Loudoun County followed by a potluck picnic at the nearby country home of one of our members. The paved W&OD multi-use trail stretches from Arlington, VA to Purcellville, VA and we’ll be riding on the most scenic and rural section – from Purcellville to Leesburg and return. We’ll ride past farms as we enjoy the fall colors. The modest uphill section of the ride is balanced by the comparable downhill section and hybrids, gravel and road bikes are suitable for this ride.  After the ride, we’ll make a short drive to the picnic location where we’ll meet up with riders from the Waterford Cruise ride. This ride is for advanced beginner riders and above. We will have a leader and sweep, and no one will be left behind.
