Prince Georges Agricultural Bike Ride – Long Version
Saturday, Aug 27, 2022
9:00pm – 2:00pm
35 miles, 1600 feet elevation on rural and suburban roads and rolling hills. Suitable for intermediate and advanced riders.
This ride winds through the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center’s open fields and farmland, and includes a lovely ride on the forested drive leading to the Patuxent Wildlife Refuge. The Beltsville Agricultural Center is an oasis of green in a rapidly urbanizing area. We plan to ride 35 miles on roads that are rolling hills to moderately hilly. This longer version also includes a brief ride on a paved trail and a second rest stop at a community center. We will have a leader and sweep and no one will be left behind. The starting point is a short ride from the Greenbelt Metro Station.
