This is another great opportunity to enjoy the Appalachian Trail in the summertime!  Surrounded by a lush green tunnel, the AT is a terrific place to enjoy the outdoors with a group of like-minded friends.  This section of the Virginia AT has it all:  rocky paths, swampy areas, and beautiful woods.  We will head south on the AT towards Whiskey Hollow Shelter where we will find plenty of campsites, an abundance of water that we can filter, and set-up camp.  We will do the route in reverse on day 2.

All trip details including equipment list, meetup spot and driving directions will be provided by email the week before the trip. WWO has a limited amount of backpacking equipment to lend as a member benefit. This trip is Saturday morning to Sunday afternoon.
