Tales from the Trail: Thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail with WWO Member, Becky Foreman
Tuesday, Apr 27, 2021
7:30pm – 9:30pm
On April 4, 1992, Becky started walking from the southern terminus of the Appalachian Trail on Springer Mountain, Georgia — a walk that would continue until October 6, 1992, when she summited the peak of Katahdin, Maine having completed the entire 2,144 miles of the Appalachian Trail! Becky completed her six-month trip on the AT during a time before cell phones and GPS and before a few finger strokes could summon an Uber ride or a shuttle to a trail head for a run into town for resupply.
Join us to hear Becky’s tales from her journey on the Appalachian Trail and see some of her amazing photos! Becky will share stories and experiences from the journal she kept during her trip.
All proceeds from this event directly provide opportunities for women to experience the outdoors together and apart.
