Woodrow Wilson Bridge Trail Hike
Sunday, Sep 20, 2020
10:00am – 4:00pm
Join us on this hike across the Wilson Bridge to National Harbor on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Trail. This well-used trail crosses on the up-river side of the bridge where the concrete path is wide enough to accommodate many users – hikers, runners and bikers. There are stations (“bump-outs”) with viewing scopes along the drawbridge, and a high, plexiglass wall on a portion of the trail provides a noise barrier from the heavy traffic. At National Harbor, we’ll stop for lunch outdoors before walking back or possibly, catching the water taxi back to Alexandria. The hike across the bridge is approximately 3.3 miles each way. The hike fee does not include any water taxi fee.
