
Great Allegheny Passage Overnight Bike Ride

$25 members, $35 non-members, plus $25 shuttle fee and overnight accommodations

Intermediate to advanced riders.
This rail-to-trail connects Pittsburgh, PA to Cumberland, MD and is considered one of the best rail trails in the country, passing through small towns, fields and forests. We won’t do the whole trail, but cycle southeast starting in Connellsville, PA covering 30 miles per day. We will meet in Cumberland, MD on Saturday morning and be transported with our bikes, by reserved shuttle to Connellsville (an hour ride) to begin our ride. We’ll stay overnight at Confluence and Meyersdale at Inns and B&Bs. The trail is paved with firmly packed fresh limestone and fairly level. The trip price does not include accomodations, $25 for shuttle or meals. Accomodations will range from $40-$100 per night per person depending on accomodation preference and availability.
